WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Winter Nests
Browntail nests are actually leaves that are curled up, reinforced and converted into overwinter nests. The eggs stay protected in these little fortresses through the Winter and hatch in the spring. Spring and early Summer is when the caterpillars are out and feeding on tree leaves.
When looking for nests in your trees, look at the very tips of the canopy. They will appear as a single shriveled leaf stuck to the end of a branch. Trees can have one nest or several hundred.
Our Process
Removing Browntail nests completely from your property is 100% effective and non-toxic. It’s all about the climbing.
For Climbing Tree Service, pruning Browntail nests comes naturally because climbing is our specialty. We ascend to the highest and furthest spots of the canopy. With optimal positioning, we snip out the nests and only the nests. We do not prune large sections of limb leaving the tree unsightly and vulnerable.
